The school, which served grades kindergarten through eighth, ceased operation entirely and no longer accepts students or families.
The closure came after sustained financial pressure. The school had been operating well below its authorized enrollment capacity, and the combination of lower enrollment with high facilities costs made continued operation unsustainable. The board of trustees, working with Hebrew Public, the organization that oversaw the school, determined that operating for another year would not be responsible. Families received notice in February 2023 that the school would close at the end of that academic year, with the board finalizing the decision in April. This left families only weeks to identify and secure new schools before summer.
The instability that led to closure had surfaced earlier. In March 2022, the state granted the school only a short-term three-year renewal of its charter, rather than a longer term. That same action reduced the school's authorized enrollment and amended its Key Design Elements and organizational structure, all signals that the state saw concerning trends. Those regulatory steps preceded the eventual shutdown by about a year.
The school no longer exists and is not an option for any parent or student.
