Orange County Classical Academy is a tuition-free public charter school in Orange, California, serving kindergarten through the upper grades, with a distinctive identity that sets it apart from most California public schools: it runs on Hillsdale College's licensed classical, liberal arts curriculum rather than the Common Core framework. Publicly reported accounts describe the program as content-rich, emphasizing classical learning, moral character, and civic virtue across history, English, mathematics, arts, laboratory science, foreign language, and college-preparatory coursework. That pedagogical choice is the central reason families seek it out, and it will be just as central a reason other families do not.
