Riverview Middle is a small middle school serving grades seven and eight in Rio Vista, a low-density riverside city in the Sacramento River Delta with a single-stoplight, small-town character. The school sits within the walkable downtown grid near Main Street, part of a geographically dispersed River Delta Joint Unified district that spans Sacramento, Solano, and Yolo counties.

The school's current enrollment is small, with roughly half the students in seventh grade and half in eighth.
