New Beginnings Inc Family Academy is a charter school operating as its own single-school district in Bridgeport, serving about four hundred students from Pre-K through Grade 6. The school recently underwent a material structural change: it has phased out its 7th and 8th grade classrooms and now stops at Grade 6. Families choosing this school need to plan for their child to transition to a different middle school after completing elementary here, rather than staying through 8th grade. At the same time, the school opened a new Early Learning Center on campus, significantly expanding capacity for 3- and 4-year-olds, giving Bridgeport families more early-childhood seats and an earlier entry point into the school.
