Kings Bay, Three Sisters Springs, and the broader Nature Coast draw visitors and retirees alike, and the community they surround has a notably older median age for a Florida city its size. The school's students are drawn from this setting: a population that is predominantly white, with Hispanic, multiracial, and Black students also enrolled. A majority of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, which places this squarely in the category of a school serving a working- and mixed-income community rather than an affluent one. Data on students with IEPs and English learners was not available in what we reviewed.
On academic performance, the picture is mixed and worth examining carefully.
