In math, proficiency ranges from about one-fifth of fifth graders to roughly four in ten fourth graders, with third graders landing in between. English language arts proficiency follows a similar pattern: third graders and fifth graders hover around one-third of students meeting the standard, while fourth graders reach closer to four in ten. Science proficiency, measured only in fifth grade, sits around one-fifth of students.
