Rock Spring Elementary serves a small rural community about 14 miles south of Chattanooga in northwest Georgia. Rock Spring itself is largely residential, mixing farmland, country back roads, and newer subdivisions of ranch homes and Craftsman-style houses. Employment in Walker County runs across manufacturing, services, management, and healthcare; the region is seeing steady new-home construction tied to growth pressure from Chattanooga northward.
