Math proficiency is weaker and declines as students progress through the grades. The current Andalusia building will close. The consolidation will add dedicated art, music, STEM, and physical education spaces and modernize safety and accessibility across the district. The bond was structured to avoid a tax-rate increase by reissuing existing debt. For families deciding whether to enroll in Andalusia Elementary now, the closure timeline matters: students entering in fall 2026 will have one year before moving to the new consolidated campus, while those entering in fall 2027 will attend the new building from the start.

Relative to the county's other school districts, Andalusia Elementary's overall proficiency index places it in the top quartile, a strength that reflects solid performance in English language arts offsetting lower marks in mathematics and science.
