Riverview Elementary serves grades two through four in South Beloit, a small city on the Illinois side of the Wisconsin border, about fifteen miles south of Rockford. The school enrolled roughly two hundred students across three grades as of the most recent count. The student body is majority white, with a significant Hispanic population; Asian, Black, and multiracial students are also represented. Data on free-or-reduced-price lunch eligibility and special populations such as English learners and students with IEPs were not available.
On the Illinois Assessment of Readiness, third graders achieved proficiency at about the midpoint between the floor and a clear mastery line, with fourth grade showing substantially lower results. In math, third grade proficiency was approaching the middle range, while fourth grade fell well below it. In English language arts, third graders showed lower proficiency than in math; fourth graders performed somewhat better in reading than in math. These are the only grades tested at Riverview.
