Ellis School is the single public school serving Fremont, New Hampshire, a small bedroom community in Rockingham County where most residents commute to jobs in Manchester, Concord, or elsewhere. The school carries students from prekindergarten straight through eighth grade, which gives it the feel of a close-knit, continuous pathway rather than a set of separate buildings. Enrollment is modest, and the student body is predominantly white, with a small share of Hispanic students and a handful of multiracial students. A low proportion of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, consistent with the town's residential, middle-to-upper-income character.
