J.C. Stuart ECDC is an early childhood center in Willingboro, serving pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students. It is part of the Willingboro Public School District. The population has been relatively stable in recent decades, and the township has added new apartment complexes to its housing stock.
The Willingboro district undertook a major reorganization in 2024. As publicly reported, the Board of Education voted to close Willingboro Memorial Middle School, permanently altering feeder patterns. Middle school students have been relocated into the high school building. Families entering the district should be aware of this structure, as it affects the path a child at J.C. Stuart ECDC will follow through the school system.
The school’s core mission is early childhood education, providing the entry point into the district. For a family assessing fit, the main consideration is not academic test scores but the setting of a pre-kindergarten and kindergarten program within a larger district that has been actively reshaping its facilities and grade configurations.
