Buffalo Collegiate Charter School closed permanently in June 2023 and no longer operates. This entity is not available as an enrollment option for any student.

The school served grades 4 through 8 and was authorized by SUNY's Charter Schools Institute. In its final year of operation, 2022-23, its test results in English language arts and math were very low. In math, proficiency ranged from zero in grade 4 to about one in ten students in grades 5 and 6, rising slightly to around eleven percent in grade 8. In ELA, proficiency was similarly sparse across grades 4 through 7, ranging from about eleven to fifteen percent, but jumped sharply to roughly four in ten students in grade 8. Science testing was not administered. These results show acute academic struggle across nearly all grades tested.

The closure came after SUNY's Charter Schools Institute recommended non-renewal, finding the school did not meet required operational, performance, and academic success metrics and lacked effective systems to support leadership, operations, and academic programming. The school's Board of Trustees voted unanimously to withdraw its charter renewal application, and in September 2023, roughly two thousand students previously enrolled there were displaced into other Buffalo Public Schools or charter schools.
