Victor Junior High School serves sixth through eighth grades in the Victor Central School District, a growing suburban community in Ontario County, just outside Rochester. The school is part of a consolidated district campus in Victor village, sitting near the historic downtown core alongside civic institutions.

The school's student population is roughly evenly split between seventh and eighth graders, with a small sixth-grade cohort. The enrollment reflects the area's character: the great majority of students are white, with smaller populations of Hispanic, Asian, Black, and multiracial students. About one-quarter of the student body qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch, suggesting modest economic diversity. Data on students with disabilities and English learners was not available.

On state assessments, the school shows a mixed academic picture. In seventh-grade math and English language arts, proficiency rates sit in the upper range, with more students meeting state standards in math than in ELA. The Victor Central School District recently won voter approval for a substantial capital project that will add classrooms and renovate existing facilities to address overcrowding from years of rising enrollment. The project includes construction of a new Career and Technical Education center in the former bus operations building. The district's tax rate has historically been lower than comparable districts in the region, a selling point for families considering the community.
