The school enrolls about students, with roughly just over half qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch, and serves a substantially diverse student body: approximately half the enrollment is Black, roughly a quarter is white, a smaller share is multiracial, and the remainder Hispanic or Asian. The enrollment is relatively stable across grades.
On state assessments, the school shows mixed results. In mathematics, about two of three students score at proficient or above, while in English language arts the proportion drops to roughly three in five. Science performance, measured most recently, was substantially stronger, with roughly seven in eight students reaching proficiency. Across all tested subjects and grades, the school's overall proficiency index places it in the top quartile relative to other districts in Montgomery County, a meaningful position that reflects both the school's strengths and the baseline performance across the county.
The school sits within Cheltenham School District, which is undergoing significant structural change.
