Indian Land Middle is a regular public school serving seventh and eighth graders within the Lancaster 01 district. It is a large school for a two-grade band, reflecting the rapid growth of the Indian Land community north of Charlotte. The school occupies what was once the former high school building, repurposed when a new high school opened in 2021, so the facility is relatively new in its current role.
