Ereckson Middle is a seventh and eighth grade school in Allen, a suburban Dallas community with concentrations of business parks, financial services, technology, and data-center operations. The school draws from a residential base that has grown substantially from Allen's railroad-era origins, and its enrollment reflects that suburban character.

The student body totals about a thousand students spread across two grade levels. A substantial majority are white or Asian; roughly a quarter identify as Hispanic or Black; a small share qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. The school's demographic makeup tilts toward higher-income households relative to many Texas suburban schools, and the Allen ISD area median household income is well above the national figure.

On state testing, Ereckson's results show an uneven profile across subjects and grades. In seventh grade, students performed in the upper range in both English language arts and math, with a majority meeting or exceeding proficiency. Eighth grade presents a steeper challenge. In eighth grade English language arts, proficiency remains strong, approaching a level that most middle schools would mark as solid. In eighth grade math, however, proficiency drops noticeably. The school sits in Allen, an area with above-average housing values and stable, relatively low property tax rates for the district. Allen ISD voters approved a major capital bond in November 2024 that will fund campus renovations, safety upgrades, and a district-wide one-to-one technology refresh. The district also closed two elementary schools and redrawn boundaries in 2023 in response to enrollment shifts between the east and west sides of the community, a structural change that altered attendance zones for families already in the system.

Ereckson offers athletics in cheerleading and wrestling, consistent with a traditional middle school model. The school website and the district should provide a fuller picture of electives, clubs, and other support structures. State testing data for special education enrollment, English learner enrollment, and attendance rates were not available, so a parent may want to ask the school directly about how these supports are staffed and organized, particularly for students who are not reaching proficiency in math and social studies.
