Tippin Elementary serves the far east side of El Paso, in a residential area on the edge of the city's suburban expansion. The school enrolls students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade and operates as a regular public elementary within El Paso ISD. It serves a Hispanic-majority community with a substantial share of students qualifying for free or reduced-price meals; about one-third of the enrollment meets that criterion. Roughly one student in 14 is Asian, one in 18 is white, and a small number identify as Black or multiracial. Enrollment data for English learners was not provided, nor was data on students with IEPs.
The school's most recent state assessment results come from 2024-25 STAAR testing across math, English language arts, and science. In fourth-grade English, Tippin shows strength: a substantial majority of students scored at the proficiency level or above, suggesting solid foundational reading and writing skills.
