Timberview Middle sits in the northern suburbs of Fort Worth as a school building grades five through eight for Keller ISD. With an enrollment spread across grades, it draws from a diverse residential community: about half the students are White, a quarter are Hispanic, and a smaller share are Black or Asian, with a modest quarter of students qualifying for free or reduced lunch.

In English language arts, the school shows its strength. Students in grades five and six reach proficiency in solid numbers, and eighth grade sustains that performance. By contrast, seventh grade dips noticeably lower. The reading and writing foundation is clearly there, and reading is where Timberview's results shine brightest.

Mathematics tells a different story across the grades. Fifth and sixth graders and eighth graders cluster around the same moderate mark, but seventh grade is a sharp drop-off, with far fewer students meeting proficiency. Science results are weaker overall: fifth grade sits below the middle line, and eighth grade falls further still. Social studies in eighth grade—the only grade tested—shows modest results as well. Across all subjects, the school reaches about half its tested students at the proficiency threshold.

A parent may want to look into what drives the seventh grade math wall and whether the school has targeted support in place. The school operates in a region experiencing rapid growth. Fort Worth crossed one million residents recently and is adding population faster than virtually any major U.S. city. Housing costs in the area have risen alongside that growth, no longer the bargain they once were in Texas. For families moving to the Keller area, the school exists in a booming suburban context where enrollment is in flux district-wide. The district itself navigated a contentious proposed split in early 2025 and more recently approved closing three intermediate schools and realigning grade configurations beginning in 2027-28, with new attendance boundaries to follow. Those decisions mean families should confirm current and future attendance zones before deciding to buy or rent.

Keller ISD adopted instructional-materials policies beginning in 2022 that subject challenged books to parental-consent holds and remove certain titles from circulation. The district removed dozens of books through this process, including titles with nonbinary or transgender content. These policies remain active and reflect a distinctive stance on curriculum and library access that aligns with conservative community preferences and may matter to some families more than others.

On balance, Timberview is a middle-performing school with clear ELA strength, uneven math outcomes by grade, and weaker science results. It sits above county peers in overall proficiency but has pockets where students struggle. The enrollment uncertainty in the district and pending grade-configuration changes mean a family weighing this school should confirm its future configuration and boundary zone directly with the district before making a move.
