Krum Early Education Center is a small early-grades school serving grades PK through 1st in the town of Krum, a fast-growing commuter community northwest of Denton. The school enrolls roughly four hundred students, about half of whom qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. The student body is nearly evenly split between white and Hispanic enrollment, with smaller representation from other racial and ethnic groups.

This is an early-education facility, so it does not administer the state assessments given to older grades. Krum itself is a town with a compact downtown, a public library, and civic anchor points like parks and the Bluebonnet Festival, though most residents work outside the town in larger employment centers in Denton or the I-35 corridor.
