Soule Road Middle School serves grades six through eight in Liverpool, a small lakeside village on the north shore of Onondaga Lake about six miles from Syracuse. The school is one of four middle schools in the Liverpool Central School District, which serves the village and portions of the surrounding towns of Clay and Salina.

The school's enrollment is small, with a student body that breaks evenly across the three grades. About two in five students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. The student population is predominantly white, with smaller shares of Asian, Black, and Hispanic students, plus students identifying as two or more races.

Math performance at Soule Road is moderate and varies by grade. Sixth graders show proficiency in the mid-range; seventh graders perform noticeably stronger; eighth graders land closer to the sixth-grade level. Across grades, the proficiency index in mathematics sits above the midpoint when compared to other schools in Onondaga County.
